Local woman finalist in Cooper co-host contest

Christa Fielder of Cedar Rapids is one of five finalists  in the “Anderson Live” Viewer Co-Host Challenge.

Fielder submitted a short video featuring students from Hiawatha Day School, where she is owner and director, in order to win a gig co-hosting Anderson Cooper’s talk show.

The person whose video receives the most votes will receive round trip airfare, a two-night hotel stay and local transportation for himself or herself and a guest in New York City, where “Anderson Live” is shot. The contest winner’s episode of the show is scheduled to air on Friday, Dec. 14.

Viewers can vote for their favorite finalists. Voting in the contest closes at 11:59 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6.
