Veridian Credit Union has launched a new mobile banking app offering check deposit, account transfers, a branch locator and other services.

The new app is available for the Android and IOS platforms, and is available for download from the iTunes and Google Play stores.

The check deposit function provides the ability to make a deposit by taking a smartphone photo of the check. It joins an array of existing online services, including a mobile version of Veridian’s website available for online banking and banking via text messages. Members can also transfer money to any email, mobile phone number, or social network profile using Veridian’s person-to-person service powered by Dwolla.

“Veridian’s mobile application provides an added level of convenience that our members have come to expect,” said Brett Engstrom, Veridian’s Web services manager.
