Did we in this election lose what no other country in the world ever had the opportunity to experience, a nation with objective laws? Let’s hope not.
About half the country no longer thinks that our uniqueness is worth saving or Obama would never have been re-elected. After four years, he has a record that has been in violation of the U.S. Constitution a number of times. Unwisely, we’ve excused him for the defaults.
Did our Founding Fathers not warn that freedom depends on a virtuous and vigilant population? Is it vigilant? Is it virtuous? To watch as fellow citizens begin to eye the wealth of neighbors and push for redistribution. To watch as faith begins to be relegated to behind closed doors for fear of imposing something of “questionable value” onto society. To watch as the vacuum is filled with abortion on demand, empty same-sex marriages, attacks on free speech, as TV ads are filled with suggestions of how to sue others and with people parading in beachwear with no beach in sight. What about bottom line principles of decency for the sake of our children?
Do we still believe in the sovereignty of this nation? Or, will the United Nations complete its undoing of that, too, since most other countries have opposite values and usually vote against us. With the help of politically correct speech, will our English language remain crippled? Have we not become a nation of poor choices?
