On Nov. 9, Heritage Christian School of North Liberty held a Veterans Day ceremony. The school recognized family members and friends of the students who served or are serving in the military. They sang hymns from all the military branches. The Iowa Air Force ROTC presented the colors.

The school then had a slide presentation showing all the veterans, some dating back to the Civil War. After the presentation all the veterans were asked to form a line, and all 195 students came by and shook each veterans hand and said thank you. It was a great experience and I, along with other veterans, thank Heritage Christian for this honor.
