UPDATE: University of Iowa President Sally Mason met Thursday with leaders of the state Board of Regents to discuss the investigation of a former athletics staffer who resigned last week.

Regarding Mason’s conversation with Regents President Craig Lang, Regents President Pro Tem Bruce Rastetter and Regent Jack Evans, university officials have “nothing to share publicly today, but hopefully soon,” UI Spokesman Tom Moore said.

The meeting happened on the UI campus. Moore said he was unsure how long it lasted, or if any UI officials other than Mason attended.

A regents spokeswoman said board officials would have no additional comment about the meeting, other than to confirm it took place.

Both Mason and Lang have said they are following up on the UI investigation of Peter Gray, who resigned last week amid allegations of sexual harassment. Gray had been associate director of athletic student services from 2002 until last week, and he also worked for the UI from 1993 to 1995.
