The Iowa City, Cedar Rapids and Mid-Prairie school districts have been recognized for their Advanced Placement offerings.

The three are among 539 school districts in the United States and Canada, including 11 in Iowa, that achieved “honor roll” status from the College Board for increasing access to AP course work and increasing the percentage of students earning scores of 3 or higher on AP exams. Achieving those goals “indicates that the district is successfully identifying motivated, academically prepared students who are likely to benefit most from rigorous AP course work,” according to a news release from the College Board.

The College Board is a nonprofit organization whose services included the AP Program and the SAT exam.
