Mark Berman, the sports director at Fox 26 in Houston, Tx., tweeted late Monday night that the Rockets are sending former Cyclone Royce White – the team’s top selection in this year’s NBA Draft – to the team’s affiliate in the NBA Developmental League.
White – who has a well-known anxiety disorder triggered by flying and cannot take the team plane to away games – has been dealing with migraine headaches and has yet to appear in a game in his rookie season.
White averaged 13.4 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in his senior season with Iowa State, and was selected 16th in this year’s NBA Draft by the Rockets.
NBA sources: the Rockets sending Royce White, Donatas Motiejunas and Scott Machado to their NBA D-League affiliate.
