The 10th-ranked Coe Kohawks will host No. 17 Elmhurst College of suburban Chicago in the first round of the NCAA Division III football playoffs this Saturday, it was announced Sunday. Kickoff will be noon at Clark Field.

Coe finished its 10th unbeaten regular season Saturday with a 34-13 victory over Central. The Kohawks swept through the Iowa Conference for their first outright league championship and are 10-0 overall.

Elmhurst is 9-1, earning a share of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship for the first time since 1980. This is the first playoff appearance for the Bluejays.

The teams share a common opponent in Loras. Elmhurst beat the Duhawks in the season opener, 36-0. Coe beat Loras, 69-7.

The winner of the Coe-Elmhurst game will play Nov. 24 against the winner of the St. Nobert-St. Thomas (Minn.) first-round game.
