Former Osage man indicted on federal child pornography charges

Trial set for Jan. 7; indictment unsealed in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids

A former Osage man has been indicted on federal child pornography charges, according to an indictment unsealed Thursday.

Kevin Perrin, 49, is charged with receiving child pornography and distributing child pornography between 2008 and 2009, according to the indictment. Perrin appeared in U.S. District Court in Cedar Rapids Thursday and was held without bond.

If convicted on both charges, Perrin faces up to 40 years in federal prison and $500,000 in fines.

Perrin’s trial is set for Jan. 7, 2013.
