Dr. Peter Gray

A University of Iowa Athletics Department staffer who worked with student athletes resigned Monday, university officials said.

Peter Gray was associate director of athletic student services. He was employed by the UI Athletics Department from 1993 to 1995, and again from Aug. 5, 2002 to Nov. 5, 2012.

Gray’s resignation from the university was effective Monday, UI Spokesman Tom Moore said. University officials cannot discuss why Gray resigned, because it’s a confidential personnel matter, Moore said.
