These guys are staying sane. I applaud that. I know you want them, however, to rip the camera away and smash it.

That didn’t get Bernie Madoff or Rajon Rondo anywhere.

WR Keenan Davis

Senior wide receiver Keenan Davis talks about the decision to go for it or not on fourth down last weekend at Indiana. “The season is not over for us,” Davis said. “We’re not going to fall down. We’re not going to give up.”

C James Ferentz

I asked about the fourth down call. That didn’t go very far. Essentially, we all have bosses. I asked about the Veterans Day uniform. That got a little more engaging answer, as you might imagine.

QB James Vandenberg

“We’re going to shoot every bullet in our gun in those battles,” he said about Iowa’s final three games. I ask if Iowa is doing what the players can do best. The answer is revealing. Iowa has had a few in-season changes to personnel (long way of saying injuries).

DL Steve Bigach

The big fella likes politics. He is not an Obama fan. He does have a nice haircut. We are in the same club in that regard.

LB Christian Kirksey

On Election Day, politics were an easy topic. Kirksey is asked what teammate he’d vote for as POTUSA in 20 years.

OT Matt Tobin

Of course, the players wanted to go for it on fourth down last week. The O-linemen were ready to rock. But, again, everyone has a boss and Tobin said he was good with Kirk Ferentz’s decision to punt

CB Micah Hyde

The senior talks about being re-established as captain. He was stripped after a bye week public intoxication incident. He regained it this week. I asked about playing sports vs. playing video games. I asked if you can tell who’s played video games and who hasn’t. Hyde also voted for the first time in his life today.

WR Kevonte Martin-Manley

I asked if what Iowa’s trying to do in the passing game fits the personnel on hand. He also talks about route running, something he prides himself on. He’s not a 4.3 40 guy, he said, so he has to be perfect in that regard.
