A popular downtown Cedar Rapids coffee shop was robbed Monday evening, police said.

No one was hurt in the hold up at the Blue Strawberry Coffee Company, 118 Second St. SE, which was reported around 7:40 p.m. According to a police report, a man wearing a black mask walked into the business, claimed he had a gun and got away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Sgt. Denni Randall said no gun was actually displayed. Two employees were working at the time, but one was in the back and did not see the incident, police said.

The suspect is described as a black man, around 5-foot-9 and 180 to 200 pounds, wearing a dark-colored hooded sweat shirt.

No arrests have been made in the case. An investigation was continuing.
