I support Dan Zumbach for state Senate. I have known Dan since we were kids growing up in northeast Iowa. Dan has developed a long list of life skills. He has successfully managed his farm and businesses the past 30 years. He has budgeted responsibly, managed employees, and been active in community activities. Dan believes in balancing the budget, while meeting the state’s needs.
I have served the past two years in the Iowa House with Nate Willems. During this time, I watched Nate support spending increase after spending increase. He supported amendments that would have increased spending by about $300 million. Spending more than we take in isn’t what we do on the farm, it’s not what small businesses do, it’s not the Iowa way.
On Feb. 29, the House planned to debate two bills to preserve Iowans’ 2nd Amendment rights. While these bills had been ready for debate for more than three weeks, when the legislation was called up, Nate fled the Capitol.
Zumbach will go to Des Moines prepared to make the hard choices for Senate District 48. He will not walk out on you.
