A Cedar Rapids man suffered serious injuries when a car turned in front of his motorcycle Wednesday afternoon.

Police said William Hradek Sr., 38, was southbound on Williams Boulevard SW around 2:50 p.m. when a northbound car driven by Elaine Selk, 78, of Keystone, attempted to turn left onto 12th Avenue SW. The two vehicles collided.

Hradek was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital for serious injuries, police said. His official medical condition was not known.

Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said an investigation was continuing, and no charges have been filed.
