CEDAR RAPIDS — Suku Radia, president and chief executive officer of Bankers Trust will be the featured speaker Nov. 15 during the annual Barbara Knapp Endowed Business Lecture Series at Mount Mercy University.
The lecture at 7:30 p.m. in the University Center Commons is free and open to the public. Seating may be limited.
Radia has served as president and CEO of Bankers Trust, Iowa’s largest independent community bank with consolidated assets exceeding $3 billion, since 2008. Before joining Bankers Trust, Suku served as chief financial officer of Meredith Corp. in Des Moines.
During his 25-year tenure at KPMG in Des Moines, Radia counseled senior management of several national and international entities on a number of financial issues. He earned a bachelor of science degree with distinction from Iowa State University in 1974 and became a certified public accountant in 1975.
Born and raised in Kampala, Uganda, Radia came to the United States in 1971 to attend Iowa State University. He lives resides in West Des Moines with his wife, Dr. Mary Radia.
Radia, a native of Kampala, Uganda, has been active in a number of professional, economic development, educational, and charitable organizations.
