I’ve heard some people say they are not going to vote in the presidential election. We have four U.S. Supreme Court justices who are in their 70s or close to 80: Justices Ruth Ginsburg, Antonin Scalia, Anthony Kennedy and Stephen Breyer.
The next president will quite likely appoint the next four Supreme Court justices. We already have two justices appointed by President Barack Obama who, in my opinion, are very progressive. Can the country as we know it survive four more? The next president also will appoint countless other life tenured federal judges who will be making decisions about our lives for decades to come.
This election is about much more than ObamaCare or who pays the most in taxes. Your vote could make a profound difference in the direction this country takes. Please vote and help choose whether we will have a progressive Supreme Court and federal judges legislating from the bench or conservative judges who will abide by the oath judges take to uphold the Constitution, and thereby preserve the way of life we have enjoyed since the founding of this great country.
