We’re taking a different turn this week for the Week in Review podcast. Instead of reporters providing insights into stories they covered during the past week, Gazette political reporter James Lynch sat down with Linn County Democratic Party chair Diane Hoffmann of Mount Vernon and Linn County Republican Party chairman Steve Armstrong of Cedar Rapids for an overview of the 2012 campaign. The two discuss the numerous Iowa visits by both President Barack Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney; the continuous campaign; straight-ticket voting; and who will be the first 2016 candidates to visit Iowa after the election.
