To the person who stole our pumpkins and gourds Oct. 14 from our porch, thank you. Obviously, there was nothing better for you to do than to go on to personal property and steal. Maybe you thought no big deal only pumpkins and that might be what others think, just some young kids having fun. If you liked them that much, I could of told you to go to Bart’s Pumpkin Farm on Alburnett Road, they have plenty and good prices.

In addition, you must not have thought what these silly pumpkins could mean to a family. My son is not a young child, but a young adult that was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year. He had to endure five months of chemo and radiation treatments and then finally we get to hear he is cancer free. Halloween is one of his favorite holidays and how lucky we are that we get to enjoy more with him.

I hope that you’ll think twice next time you decide to steal something for yourself.
