Tonight, Penn State comes to Kinnick Stadium to take on our Hawkeyes.

With what happened last year at Penn State and the Jerry Sandusky case, I feel Hawk fans need to stand and applaud the Penn State football players as they enter Kinnick and not boo them. These are 18- to 21-year-old boys who had nothing to do with what happened, but made a commitment to stay and play for their university. These players need to be acknowledged in a positive way.

Let’s show Penn State players and their coaching staff the true spirit of Hawk fans, and if for just one minute, show them that we admire them for sticking it out with their favorite university.
