No serious injuries were reported when a vehicle crashed into the front of a Cedar Rapids convenience store Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.

Officials responded around 1 p.m. to the accident at Jim’s Foods, 812 Sixth St. SW. According to officials on scene, a Cedar Rapids woman drove her sport-utility vehicle “forward instead of backwards” and crashed through the front of the store. A front glass window shattered.

The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was not transported to a hospital for her minor injuries. Officials do not believe anyone else was in the vehicle with her. No store employees were hurt.

According to a Jim’s Foods employee, two pop machines and a lottery machine were knocked over as a result of the accident. Jim’s Foods was still open despite the damage.
