The Solon Community School District placed its Lakeview Elementary School on “heightened security” today as a precaution based on a recommendation from the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office.

School officials wouldn’t say more about the reason behind the extra security, and Johnson County Sheriff Lonny Pulkrabek said only that the measures were precautionary “based on an investigation we are working on currently.”

It’s unknown how long the deputies have been working the case and what it involves.
