I attended the League of Women Voters forum in Central City on Sept. 25 where state Senate District 48 candidates Nate Willems and Dan Zumbach answered audience questions.

Willems was articulate in providing solid answers. His responses were forward thinking and always kept what was best for Iowa and its people at heart. Recognizing the increasing number of jobs that allow employees to work electronically from their homes, he emphasized the importance of keeping education a priority in that many young couples consider that when determining where to raise their children.

One of Willems’ main reasons for running for public office was to improve the job outlook so that young Iowans would choose to stay in the state. We need Willems in the Senate. We need his positive, creative outlook for our future.
