Developing tomorrow’s skilled worker has become more important than ever. Join the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, Kirkwood Community College, United Way of East Central Iowa in a best practice and idea generation to build a strong future workforce.

Speakers:

Rick Dickinson, CEO and President, of the Greater Dubuque Development Corp., will talk about how Dubuque positioned itself to draw IBM to the community.

Lily French, Director of Field Education and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Iowa School of Social Work, will talk about what happens if we don’t equip people with the skills needed by local industries.

Kim Johnson, Vice President of Continuing Education and Training Services at Kirkwood Community College, will talk about the types of strategies that are being implemented and developed.
