Cedar Rapids native vying for Lady A contest win

Cedar Rapids native Jesse Upah and his vocal group, Breath of Soul, are in the running to perform with Lady Antebellum.

Upah’s ensemble, formed in the Chicago area in 2006 and now based in Nashville, is participating in an online a cappella singing competition. To hear the group’s Lady A medley and cast your vote, click here.

Voting ends at 11:59 p.m. Oct. 19, 2012. The grand prize winner will perform with the country superstar group in Nashville in December 2012. The runner-up will receive Lady A apparel, valued at $1,000.

Upah is a 2002 graduate of Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids.
