CEDAR RAPIDS – A new thrift store called Changing Hands will open Oct. 15, with proceeds benefiting Seeds for Seniors.
Changing Hands Thrift Shop will be located at 2737 16th Ave. SW.
Seeds for Seniors, a nonprofit organization that began in 2010, has given back over $1 million to seniors in Linn County via free food and medical accessories. Seeds for Seniors operates a food pantry, produce gardens and a medical accessories closet with all services offered free to seniors age 55 and older.
In the two years since Seeds for Seniors began operation, they have feed over 10,000 people through their food pantry, reaching more than 6,000 households in the community.
