Police were looking for a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Cedar Rapids gas station early Monday morning.

Officers were dispatched around 6:45 a.m. to Hill Brothers Jiffy Mart, the Cenex gas station at the corner of Mount Vernon Road and 19th Street SE, when the hold-up was reported. Lt. Cody Estling said one man entered the store, displayed handgun and got away with some cash.

No one was injured in the incident, police said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his 20s wearing a hooded sweat shirt and a mask. He was last seen running north on 19th Street SE from the store.
