Voters can discriminate on a moral basis

Congress initially refused Utah statehood because Mormons practiced polygamy. Congress denied statehood on the simple truth that polygamy, though it was disguised as a tenet of their religion, was immoral and therefore harmful to good social order

You should use this same logic and vote “no” on whether to retain Iowa Supreme Court justice David Wiggins. He thinks same-sex marriage is OK if disguised as a civil right.

Don’t let same-sex advocates intimidate you — all discrimination is not evil. As citizens, we have the right and duty to discriminate against same-sex marriage on a moral basis. We discriminate every day making moral decisions with our family, friends and community. When we choose well, we’re the better for it. When we choose poorly, we suffer the consequences. Society is no different.

If our legal system no longer recognizes any moral standard, show them that the majority of Iowans still do.
