IOWA CITY – Iowa players might have set a trophy dash record Saturday with the race for Floyd of Rosedale.

Center James Ferentz hiked the ball to quarterback James Vandenberg, then sprinted for the Minnesota sideline to re-claim the notorious traveling trophy between the Big Ten programs. It ended six straight trophy game losses for Iowa, including two straight to Minnesota.

“Thank God we beat Minnesota so we can get one of those trophy cases filled,” Iowa linebacker James Morris said.

The video of their mad dash to snag Floyd and take him to the locker room is above.
