MEDINAH, Ill. – Imagine 5 p.m. on a Chicago ‘L’ train with thousands of people wearing golf shirts.

That’s sort of what it’s like here at Medinah Country Club for the Ryder Cup. They’re saying 40,000 people a day have been here, and will be here for the actual competition Friday through Sunday.

That’s too many people. Especially when only four matches will be contested at one time on Friday and Saturday.

But making money does appear to be an object.

Anyway, here are some random photos I snapped during Thursday’s practice round.
