The players were honest in their reactions.
I need to check the DVR on the Joe Gaglione call at the end. Gaglione said he got poked in the eye. Of course, that play always goes to the second reaction. That’s not exclusive to this officiating crew, which was made up of a consortium of B1G, MAC and MVC officials.
The the first domino never gets called. The reaction does. Self-control is needed, but it’s so difficult to summon.
BTW, CMU called the onside kick play “Houdini.” There was an escape artist named Harry Houdini in the 1920s.
That Harman kick looked as though it was going to run out of gas from field level.
