Two men have been arrested in connection with a bank robbery Thursday afternoon in Cedar Rapids.

Kevin Conner, 18, and Daniel Straw, 23, each face a charge of second-degree robbery after the hold-up at Guaranty Bank, 191 Jacolyn Dr. NW. Police on Friday confirmed the arrests were related to the robbery, but noted that one other man who was involved remains on the loose.

Officers rushed to the bank around 1:50 p.m. Thursday when the robbery was reported, and at least one foot chase ensued. Police said the man who entered the bank got an undisclosed amount of money before running north toward Jacolyn Park. No injuries were reported in the incident.

Lt. Craig Furnish confirmed that Conner and Straw were arrested in the area shortly after the robbery. He would not say if either man is accused of entering the bank, and declined to provide further details.

The man who entered the bank is described as a black man, about 6 feet tall, who was wearing a gray sweat shirt, sunglasses and a ball cap, according to a police report.

Conner, who had a warrant out for his arrest for failing to appear in court on a theft charge, was being held on $31,500 bond at the Linn County Jail. Straw also remained in custody, with a bond of $25,000.
