It should not be problematic for eligible voters to know just exactly for whom and what they are casting their vote on Nov. 6. Almost everybody has access to a computer and can Google the platforms of both parties. Registered Independents have an obligation to study both documents since they did not have any input to either. It will become evident that the Republican document contains all the ingredients for a just society and the Democrat document takes 25 pages to refute it.
Those men and women who want to represent us at all levels of government are bound by their party’s platform. Respect for all life is paramount and it is written into the GOP platform, whereas the Democrat platform continues their pro-choice mantra, their wish to repeal the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) and the implementation of their Affordable Care Act, which would mandate our footing the bill for sterilization and artificial birth control for others.
Voting is a privilege, but should also be an educated decision made after serious study of the issues among which are the impending loss of our freedoms and the contemptible continued loss of innocent unborn human lives.
