The newly formed Justice Not Politics Action Thursday announced the launch of its ‘Yes on Retention’ voter outreach campaign to support the retention of Iowa justices and judges in Iowa’s Nov. 6 general election.

The campaign kicks off on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. with a tailgate event before the Iowa-Northern Iowa football game in Iowa City.

The Romney for President campaign on Thursday announced an Iowa Veterans for Romney organization.

The Iowa Veterans for Romney Coalition is led by Chuck Larson Sr., a former U.S. attorney and colonel in the U.S. Army Reserves from Cedar Rapids.

The group also has 15 honoraries chairs, nine co-chairs and 103 Iowans on its advisory board. Similarly, last July Democrats announced the formation of the Iowa Veterans and Military Families for Obama Steering Committee.
