It’s too bad political campaigns have gotten to the point they are today. Point in fact: President Obama makes a remark about infrastructure and the fact that businesses did not grow on their own. Here is the exact quote from his speech:

“If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that.”

The Republican party makes commercials only using the remark, “You didn’t build that!” The nominee then “approves” this false commercial knowing it is not the truth. Then, the Republicans use this as the theme for their convention.

At the Republican convention, they displayed a big, bright ticker showing the increasing national debt. You should be glad they told the truth in that clock because they did build that!
