Political ad money should be used for good, productive projects

“I have a dream” that, some day, people will rise up and say “no more political television and other media ads.” Just think of all the good, productive projects that could be accomplished with those millions of dollars.

Not long ago, The Gazette printed an article about a group of business men whose sons had not served in the military. They raised a million dollars to benefit soldiers who served our country and needed additional help. What about the many non-profit services that help people in need?

Lastly, who are the people who have such deep pockets for these political ads? What do they get for their huge sums of money? It seems to me that ordinary people are merely pawns in the game of politics. Big money is used to buy those politicians, who initially start by serving all the people but end up as puppets.
