Gunman robs tobacco store in Cedar Rapids

Puff N' Stuff hit early Friday morning

Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Cedar Rapids smoke shop early Friday morning.

It happened around 4 a.m. at Puff N’ Stuff 2, 1545 First Ave. SE. The lone suspect displayed what appeared to be a handgun and demanded money, police said. The clerk, who was the only one inside the store at the time, was not injured.

Lt. Charlie Fields said the suspect got an undisclosed amount of cash. No arrests have been made, he said.

No other details were immediately released.
