The mother of one of two cousins who have been missing for more than a month has been hospitalized.

According to police reports, Misty Morrissey, 34, was taken to Allen Hospital Monday evening after she was found unresponsive at a relative’s home.

Morrissey is the mother of 10-year-old Lyric Cook-Morrissey, who was last seen with her 9-year-old cousin, Elizabeth Collins, in Evansdale on July 13. Authorities said they believe the girls were abducted.

According to the report, police acting on a tip found Morrissey sleeping and were unable to wake her.

Family told officers she had been at the hospital earlier in the day and been heavily medicated and later drank alcohol, the report states.
