United Way board approves allocations for fiscal year 2013

The United Way of East Central Iowa’s Board of Directors recently approved $6.6 million in funding to 37 United Way partners and two United Way programs for fiscal year 2013.

The funding is split into United Way’s three focus areas of health, education and financial stability.
Who is getting how much?

Education programs – $2,084,452
Financially stability programs – $1,730,100
Health programs – $2,472,950
2-1-1/RSVP – $335,000

“We couldn’t do this without the community’s help and generosity,” said Leslie Wright, United Way’s VP of Community Building. “We continuously evaluate how we can maximize dollars and resources to make the biggest impact.”
