Dr. Thomas Serbousek joins staff a new MercyCare Urgent Care in Marion

MARION, IA – MercyCare Community Physicians announces the addition of Thomas Serbousek, MD, to its medical staff.  Dr. Serbousek will begin seeing patients on May 7 at the new MercyCare Marion Urgent Care clinic. The urgent care clinic will operate in a joint space with MercyCare Marion, an established family practice clinic, located at 3701 Katz Drive.

MercyCare Urgent Care will serve walk-in patients weekdays from 1 to 8 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon.  Urgent Care hours will be extended beginning July 1.  To reach MercyCare Marion Urgent Care, patients may call (319) 373-3022.

Dr. Serbousek received his medical degree from the University of Iowa College of Medicine and completed his residency with the Cedar Rapids Medical Education Foundation. Most recently, Dr. Serbousek worked in Anamosa at the Jones Regional Hospital Emergency Department. Dr. Serbousek is board certified in family medicine and board eligible in emergency medicine. His medical interests include orthopaedics and pediatrics.

MercyCare Marion Urgent Care is part of MercyCare Community Physicians (MCCP).  MCCP is composed of thirteen family practice clinics in the Cedar Rapids metro area, as well as Center Point, Monticello, Mount Vernon, North Liberty and Tama.  Three urgent care facilities and four specialty clinics are also part of the MCCP system.  Established in 1995, MCCP is affiliated with Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids.
