Players talked Wednesday, too. I think I got three of the four. Colleague Scott Dochterman interviewed WR Keenan Davis.

It doesn’t sound as though QB James Vandenberg’s job has changed, but the terminology has. The senior makes the point that maybe the framework of Iowa’s offense won’t change (maybe some of it will), but the man calling the plays, Greg Davis, isn’t the man who called the plays for the last 13 seasons at Iowa. Thus, there will be some change in that regard.

CB Micah Hyde wants to play press coverage. What corner doesn’t? He pumps the brakes a little, but also discusses what it could do for a defense.

With a new mustache, LB James Morris talks about offseason reflection and what he wants to do to make Iowa’s defense a Big Ten championship-caliber defense. As far as changes go, he said his job hasn’t changed much under new defensive coordinator Phil Parker.
