With all respect, Mr. Sargent, what the Sam Hill are you blathering on about? What does the president have to do with your allegations (except that you dislike him)? Please provide sources and specific examples–unless, of course, it’s your goal to be labeled a crackpot.

Anchor babies: babies born to illegal immigrants who come to the US pregnant to have their babies here in order for their child to be born a US citizen so the parent might also be able to stay.

Under the law of the land, as long affirmed by the nation’s highest court, a child born within the sovereign confines of the Unites States of America is natural born citizens of this country. Thus, birth control services on these “illegals” is working just like Herman Cain’s dreamed of electrified border fence.

It is very arrogant of someone living in the nation’s heartland to advocate a get-around means of becoming one of us Red-Blooded Americans—sometimes to do the right thing takes courage; is there any of that left on main-street USA?

Incidentally, there is an exception to citizenship acquisition of children born within our land of a non-citizen mother. It does not apply to children born of a non-US parent or parents that are here as representatives or another government.

Though, I have not heard of it, maybe to keep some folks happy we are now incarcerating foreigners that come here with diplomatic status of nation’s that some folks just don’t like. If so, they certainly should not be getting any birth control—particularly if they are here from the Vatican.

Those are some interesting accusations that have “come to light”. I suspect they are not true. I’d be a lot easier to believe them if a credible source were cited.

I suspect that Gary was so anxious to blame President Obama that he didn’t worry about the checking out the credibility of what he had to say.

There does seem to be some truth to this story. The ICE will provide pregnancy services to women who are detained and want to maintain their pregnancy. The ICE will also provide abortions to women in cases of rape, incest and when the mother’s health is in danger. It seems rape is a common hazard for these women during the border crossing.

They will not pay for abortions for other reasons, the cost of these abortions are born by the mother.

As for transgendered care, for those who are currently undergoing hormone therapy will continue to receive the treatments while being detained.

I guess for the perpetually outraged among us these are truly horrorifying revelations. For the rest of us it appears that we are providing healthcare services to detainees. Which is the moral and just thing to do.
