A majority of those who answered a poll question said they’re satisfied with the gun laws in Iowa.

According to The Des Moines Register’s Iowa Poll, 57 percent were satisfied with the laws, 26 percent said the gun laws should be tougher and 13 percent said they want fewer restrictions.

Several gun law proposals are under consideration by the state Legislature.

The poll of 800 Iowans, conducted from Feb. 12 to 15, has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
