Marion firefighters extinguish garage fire

SUV destroyed, but no one hurt in fire

Firefighters worked quickly to put out a garage fire in Marion late Monday.

The fire started just before 9 p.m. at the garage at 3053 Stone Creek Court.

Firefighters brought the fire under control in 20 minutes. The fire destroyed a sport-utility vehicle inside the garage.

No one was injured in the fire, but responders took one person to a local hospital with a medical condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
