Not Really.

But, it is interesting and frustrating what can happen in front of your lens once that mirror flips up, blacking out the viewfinder. Even at 1/640th of a second and 10 frames per second , the action was too close to the sideline where players were moving on and off the field.

Here are some photos that I transmitted back to The Gazette. I’m excited to shoot arena football. It’s a sport I haven’t shot before. New set of challenges. I hear it’s a high scoring game so there should be plenty of good reaction photos after touchdowns.

That’s Marion native and former Iowa State Cyclones Nick Campbell hauling in that pass. Cedar Rapids Washington prep and former Northern Iowa Panther Adam Pinckney is also vying to make the team as is former Iowa wide receiver Paul Chaney Jr.
