GRINNELL – Volunteers from the community of Grinnell and surrounding area are being sought to assist with the NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will be hosted by Grinnell College.

The meet, which will draw approximately 500 athletes plus more than 1,000 coaches, officials and fans, is set for Friday and Saturday, March 9-10, at the Charles Benson Bear ’39 Recreation and Athletic Center Field House.

Volunteers will be needed for a variety of duties, and shifts will typically run four hours.

Volunteers can choose one of four training sessions to attend on Thursday, Feb. 9, in the upper level classroom of the Bear Center (Room F205). Those sessions are slated for noon, 4:30 p.m., 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sessions will last approximately 30 minutes.

Tickets for the meet, which will be good for the entire two-day event, will be $15 for adults and $10 for students.
