Cedar Rapids Water employees will perform an emergency water shut off for approximately 300 customers on the southeast side of Cedar Rapids at 1:30pm this afternoon.  A water main break occurred near Seeley Ave.SE and Memorial Drive SE.  Customers living south of Seeley near Memorial Drive, including the Rompot Neighborhood may experience a loss of water or low water pressure until service can be restored.  Cedar Rapids Water employees will work until repairs are complete.  At this time repairs are estimated to take 2 hours, meaning service may be restored as soon as 3:30pm.

The quality of the water has not been compromised; the water is safe to drink.  For more information about water main breaks please go to: http://bit.ly/CRMainBreak
