AMES — Police say robbery charges are pending for Iowa State backup wide receiver Albert Gary following a June incident.

University police Capt. Aaron Delashmutt says Gary hasn’t been formally charged with robbery. Officials have filed paperwork with the court system and are awaiting final approval.

Delashmutt says more information about the case should be available Tuesday.

Cyclones coach Paul Rhoads announced Monday that Gary had been suspended for three games because of the incident. Rhoads says Gary will be available for Friday night’s game against No. 2 Oklahoma State.

Gary, a 22-year-old redshirt sophomore from Ocala, Fla., wasn’t made available to reporters Monday. He has seven catches for 76 yards this season.
