Clean Up CR: 1/2 price appliance coupon this weekend
This Saturday, October 1st from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the City of Cedar Rapids’ is sponsoring a ½ price appliance drop-off at either Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency location for residents with coupons.
The coupons were mailed to all Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling Customers earlier this month in the Clean Up CR Fall Opportunities flier. If customers have not received their coupon in the mail, they may call the Cedar Rapids Solid Waste & Recycling Division at 286-5897 for more information.
The Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency is located at 2250 A Street SW in Cedar Rapids and 1954 County Home Road in Marion. A coupon must be presented at the scale house to receive the discount. Appliances normally cost $9.00 to dispose of at the Solid Waste Agency, making the cost to drop-off each appliance $4.50 with the coupon. There is no limit on the number of appliances per coupon.

Dryers
Freezers
Furnaces
Humidifiers
Microwaves
PCB ballasts
Refrigerators
Stoves
Trash compactors
Washers
Water heaters
Customers are responsible for transporting all appliances to the Cedar Rapids/Linn County Solid Waste Agency Locations and all vehicles must exit the facility by 4:30pm. Appliances will not be accepted at either Clean Up CR Drop-off location.
