    Its not as crazy as it seems -Ritalin (and many other ADHD drigs) is a stimulant. Ask any special ed/resource teacher and they’ll tell you a can of Mt. Dew can work as a temporary “fix” for kids who forget their meds.

    Ritalin, caffeine, and a whole host of other drugs have similar mechanisms, but they also all have potentially severe side-effects, so keeping an M.D. in the loop is very important.
