Adrian Clayborn, now an NFL rookie, said the following about Iowa’s 2011 football schedule this afternoon on Twitter:

@AJaClay That Pitt game should be a good one! All the others will be cake! I mean we are the only university in the state!

  1. Ah, freedom of speech is a wonderful thing. Pretty cool Adrian has time to tickle ISU’s funny bone and pump up the Hawks while working in his rookie season in the NFL. If you don’t mind my saying so, I love it… :)

  2. I bet his mom wrote that tweet. What a yo-yo. I’m thinking it took a “first time in NCAA history” moment for the chokeyes to beat UNI two years ago.

    • Jiminee, (yawn)… on, never mind.

    • Mr. Cricket, if you actually watched that game you saw a Hawk team that fiddled around during a game and then a D line that did what it had to to pull their fat out of the fire. Fact is, UNI had no chance of getting EITHER of those attempts off.

    • You sounds like a bitter ISU fan right there Jiminee.

You don’t have anything to say about the Iowa/ISU game the next week where Iowa won 35-3 (part of how many straight quarters without a TD by ISU?) so instead you bring up a game your team wasn’t invovled in, and Iowa still won. Seems logical.

Oh, and both games were during a season that Iowa rattled off 9 straight wins to start the year and ended with a BCS bowl win in South Florida. How did that year end up for ISU?

Must be rough looking up from that distorted little brother view Jiminee.

  3. I think he was poking fun at himself more than ISU as this is the comment he made last year or the year before too….
